Every project I take on tells a story — of trust, understanding, and the power of language to connect people. My name is Khurram S., a native Urdu speaker and PhD Scholar, and Urdu has been at the heart of everything I do for as long as I can remember.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients and teams from all over the world — from startups to global organizations — helping them bring their ideas, products, and stories to Urdu-speaking audiences. Along the way, I’ve completed millions of words in translation and localization, covering everything from mobile apps and websites to academic research and legal documents.
Some of the amazing companies I’ve worked with include Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, Siemens, BBC, Appen, OSF Global, Mondly, Mapbox, Luma Health, MCC Arabia, Ithos Global, Nymgo, Pinto Productions, and YouWowMe — along with many agencies and independent clients who’ve trusted me with their projects.
Each assignment has taught me something new — not just about words, but about people, cultures, and how small details can completely change meaning.
My Professional Journey
I help individuals and organizations translate, localize, and refine their English and Urdu content so that it feels natural, accurate, and culturally aligned. Everything I deliver is handled personally — no outsourcing, no rush jobs — just thoughtful work done with care.
Here’s a quick look at what I usually work on:
Legal documents — contracts, wills, licenses, divorce certificates, court records, and powers of attorney.
App and software localization — Urdu interfaces, UI/UX, and digital platforms using tools like Crowdin, Smartcat, Memsource (Phrase), Transifex, POEditor, and Smartling.
Business content — proposals, press releases, presentations, and internal communication.
Academic and religious texts — research papers, theses, Quranic manuscripts, and educational materials.
Civil and personal documents — birth, marriage, and death certificates, ID cards, passports, and immigration-related papers.
Technical materials — manuals, installation guides, and product documentation.
Financial and corporate documents — bank statements, insurance forms, and contracts.
Employment-related content — CVs, letters, and training certificates.
